I usually get 200-400 oil, and spend 100 oil on the gunners, so there is some profit. However, there are very few soft targets at that medal range, so my attack yields are only 100-400k and I have to throw in a few gatling gunners (costs oil) to keep the main force of fusiliers from getting mowed down by defenders. ![]() When I crossed the 1300 medal line it dropped to once every 3-5 days. Because I was getting about 80 medals a day passively through bogus attacks, I took just a few days to increase the medal count to the point where I was not getting attacked much. The moment I upgraded to industrial (still at 850 medals) I suddenly was getting attacked non-stop, generally within 5 minutes of a peace treaty expiring. My typical attacks (using about 15-20 foot troops and a similar number of raiders 22k food replacement cost) would net 400-800k total. ![]() To give you an idea, when I was Enlightenment age at about 850 medals I got attacked a couple times a month. My defenses are usually a bit light for my age I usually upgrade to a new age when my troops are maxed out with upgrades, rather than waiting until my defensive buildings are maxed out with upgrades. For me, I found my best balances at 600-699 medals for medieval, 800-899 for enlightenment, and 1300-1399 for industrial. At some point you will find a balance that works. If you have really poor raiding loot, you need to decrease your medals. If you are getting attacked too much, you need to increase your medals. ![]() It is a dynamic system, so there is no generic answer.
